  • Two convenient J-Doors and large, mesh door vestibule offer easy, sheltered access into and out of the tent
  • Hybrid floor combines fully, factory-sealed seams and bathtub curves to create a tough waterproof finish

Footprints for both the garage and sleeping area of the Atacama Expedition Tent.

Footprints extend the life of your tent floor and protect against damaging abrasion.  We recommend using a custom-cut ground cloth designed specifically for the floor plan of your tent, like the Atacama Expedition Tent Footprints for either the sleeping bay or the garage.  The custom fit of the sleeping area groundsheet effectively avoids water collecting between the tent floor and the foot print during rainy conditions.  In the garage, the purpose-fitted garage ground sheet keeps high traffic areas tidy.  In the morning use your foot print as a clean surface where you can fold and roll your tent.

I just needed to write to tell you how much we love the atacama

I just needed to write to tell you how much we love the atacama tent. I took a group of 8 on a motorcycle camping trip to Alaska last summer and after a lot of research bought and recommended your tent. 2 of the other couples followed my recommendations and purchased the Atacama Expedition tent. The other did not. Needless to say, we all LOVED the tent. It went up and down quick and easy, the garage was great to store our gear nice and dry, plus a great place to be able to get out of the sleeping quarters, still be private and be able to dress as needed. The garage fit a table and chair for us! (It was dry and warmer than the outside). The couple that didn't purchase... well, they had to replace their tent half way through the trip after a catastrophic failure.

The best tent I have ever owned

Followed your advise and put the old model Redverz Atacoma on ebay, almost immediately had order at initial asking price. This is by the best tent I have ever owned or used despite the early design iteration items you have addressed in the later design evolutions. My companions all converted I think to the ease of setup, functionality, and ability to stow in remarkably small package despite rather palatial footprint. The large size is the key advantage and sometimes requires very creative accommodation in the National/State parks out west that have rather small camp sites for tents. It always fit though even when sharing with another tent.. I love the continuous engineering improvement you have made to this already tremendous series of tents, again well done and thanks.

          Tons of room

I've seen the redverz tent at every event I've been to. It wasn't till I had to cook in the rain that I saw it's real benefit. It packs a bit big and it's not for the minimalist. At 6'2 I can stand in it and get dressed like a human, it also seems to be the hangout for friends when the weather gets bad. Over all it's a high quality tent with a ton of space that's easy to put up and take down

            My 5 Star tent!

Every couple years I seem to buy another tent. I was initially intimidated with the size of the Redverz. However, I'm now a happy camper. I'm getting much faster at setting it up and am around 12 minutes now and that's 9 days into a 5 week 13 State trip. What's cool, is I'm tall and can stand upright in it. I can stow all my stuff (haven't put the bike in yet), change clothes, sit and read too. Another important feature, not a single skeeter has gotten into the big sleeping area. It's costs a bunch, but after a week's worth of tent'n instead of motel'n it, it's paid for itself. Got from the good folks at Twisted Throttle. Oh yeah, I added the sleeping area tarp by Redverz, but just use an 8x8 cheep tarp in the vestibule area. Reason I'm writing this, I'm sure there are those who want more from a tent then struggling in and out of one in the middle of the night. The annoyance factor has dropped considerably.

              Comfortable Sleeping Ten

I've used several types of tents over the years while camping during motorcycle trips, but the Redverz is by far, the best. It's so nice to stand up while changing clothes or just stretching. I rarely use the garage area for my bike, but it's convenient whenever cover is needed while working on the bike. This has been an awesome investment in on the road comfort while motorcycling our great country.

                great space

I bought this before a two week trip - I'm sure if I hadn't it would have rained the whole time and I would have been miserable. As is turned out the weather was great so I didn't get to test it in the rain. I rode an f800gs, and carying the tent was not an issue about 50% of my trip was off road, so not an issue there either. It was great to be able to change standing up, and have the space to just "throw" the bike gear out of sight of other campers. The tent seems really well made (I have owned other top quality tents). Having to stake the tent was new for me, so I was unable to "flip the tent over" to sun dry the floor of the tent before packing it away - I was glad to have brought a painters tarp for use as a ground cloth - kept the tent clean. People were amazed that "all that" came off my bike :).

                      Atacama

Great product! Purchased last summer and used well over a dozen times. Well thought out design enables the tent to be set up easily and quickly by one person, even with heavy wind. Used mostly for family camping but my KLR650 without panniers fits well. I also purchased the ground sheet for the sleeping section. Also worth mentioning the support from Redverz is excellent....my request for longer guy lines was quickly fulfilled. Great product and well worth the money.

                        Easy setup

Overall I like the tent, but only when traveling with others. When on the road alone there are plenty of tents that pack much smaller and weight much less. But I love the height and the privacy of the giant vestibule. As I get older, lying down in a small tent to get dressed in private kind of stinks. But with this tent that is no issue. I found it sets up easy, and stows away easy as well. Plenty of additional guide wires if it's really windy but not necessary every time. I have yet to ever park my bike inside, but that would be really nice in heavy rain, or perhaps when leaving a campsite unattended for a day hike. Seems well built and well thought out.

Be the envy of the campsite

This is my go tent regardless of how I got there. While it's intended for motorcycle travel, it's just so good I bring it in the truck too. Each time it's up someone inevitably asks me about. Features are amazing. It's built well and keeps you, and your gear, dry!

expsensive tent, well worth the price

I bought this tent for 2 person camping with my wife, she is not into camping at all but this tent made camping okay since their is alot of room inside the tent. Constructuon of the tent is top notch. It packs down small for its actually size. It is a LARGE tent though. Fits perfectly on my bumot r1200gs pannier lid. Its a win in the books for me

                                Redverz Solo

We tested last summer the Solo for a large bikers' Club. During 37 pitches, tent performed perfectly even during the summer mountain storms in the Alps. We even tested it without the inner tent and found that two adults can sleep well apart even with military style folding beds under which store all gear and still have an enormous space to move and stand up right.
We returned our unit because of a really small issue with the fly and it has been immediately replaced, conferming a reliable after sale customer service.
A really top tent, not cheap but not insanely expensive, light enough to carry on a motorcycle and large enough to camp luxuriously and at last not miserably cramped as most of us have been used to.

Erst dieser Tage bekommen, ausgepackt und befühlt. Alleine der Stoff, aus dem das Zelt gemacht ist, ist um Welten besser, als alles, was ich bis jetzt in den Händen hielt.

                                  Redverz Atacama Expedition

They laugh about the bike in the garage tent but then when it's raining, snowing or blowing out it's suddenly the most popular tent in the campground! I've had this particular tent for nearly a year now and I love how roomy it is, how I can stand up to change my clothes, the ventilation that prevents moisture buildup and how much space in the bay there is for storage, cooking or just visiting. I've only put the bike inside once and that was to hide it from a park ranger who was hassling us about the number of bikes/tent site! My advice is get the footprints for both the sleeping and garage area; they fit great and and a nice touch.
